Inscription for 2010

If you ride a GoldWing, you are welcome to attend and take part in the Scarborough Light Parade, even if you are not a member of the GWOCGB.
However, you will be required to register your bike at one of three inscription points should you wish to actually display your GoldWing or park it in one of the display areas we have reserved for showing.

The fee is £2 per bike if you can produce a valid GWEF or GWOCGB membership card, or £3 per bike for all other participants. You will also be required to sign the inscription form to confirm you have read the event’s safety notes.

An inscription point can be found at the Cayton Bay Holiday Park and will be open on Friday evening until late … signs will direct you to the desk.  The second inscription point will be at the Scarborough Lifeboat Station and will be open from 9.30am to 5.00pm on Saturday 12th September.  The third and final inscription will be at the light parade mustering car park in Burniston Road, from 6.30pm to 7.45pm on Saturday evening.  Bikes not displaying the official sticker will be directed to an inscription point.

All bikes must display clearly on the front of their machine, the official inscription sticker in order to be in any of the display areas and parade. This shows marshalls that you have read and agreed to follow the safety notes, which form part of the agreement with the club’s Public Liability Insurance.

Those attending should be aware that this event is organised under the GoldWing Owners' Club of Great Britain rules.

Tombola for 2010

Our members always support the tombola stall and hopefully they can cram a few extra items into their top-boxes for this all day event.  Traders and individuals in the Scarborough area are also invited to donate a tombola prize and these can be donated even on the day of the event.  Just bring them along when you visit the show.

The event will raise money for the Scarborough Lifeboats and part of the fundraising will be a raffle which will be drawn by the Mayor of Scarborough about 4.00pm on Saturday 11th September, and a tombola stall held on the same day.  Sponsors have donated some super prizes and these will be included in our raffle.  Raffle organiser is Shirley Chambers and our tombola stall will be managed by
Julia Duffield.

Marshalls for 2010

The marshalling team will be headed by our region's most experienced marshalls, Ian Crabbe, Adrienne Roberts, Neil Crofts and Merilyn Crofts, pictured right.

We would also like to thank all those members who have volunteered to marshall the SLP 2009 as without these people we simply couldn't operate such a large event.

Marshalling is one of the most important tasks of the whole event and volunteers will be required to help with Friday night's "Best Lit Bike" show, all day Saturday for the Static Display and evening Light Parade and finally on Sunday for Neil's short rideout.

Please contact any marshalling team member if you wish to volunteer.
