If you ride a GoldWing, you are welcome to come along and take part in the Scarborough Light Parade, even if you are not a member of the GWOCGB.  However, you will be required to register your bike at one of three inscription points should you wish to park it in one of the display areas we have reserved for showing. The fee for 2012 will be £2 per member and £3 for all none members.  All riders will  be required to sign an inscription form to confirm they will abide by the safety notes a copy of which will be given once riders have registered. If you are not a GWOCGB member, by registering and paying the £3 fee, you will become a temporary club member for the duration of the event.
An inscription point will be set up at the Cayton Bay Holiday Holiday Park and will be open on Friday from about  1.00pm to 8.30pm. The second inscription point will be on Saturday at the Scarborough Lifeboat Station and will be open from 9.30am until 4.00pm.  The third and final inscription will be at the light parade mustering car park from 6.30pm to 7.45pm on Saturday evening.  Bikes not displaying the official sticker will be directed to an inscription point.
All GoldWings must display the official inscription sticker clearly on the front of their machine, in order to be in any of the display and parade mustering areas. This shows marshals that you have read and agreed to follow the safety notes, which form part of the agreement with the club’s Public Liability Insurance This event is organised by members of the GoldWing Owners' Club of Great Britain and club rules will apply.
Jean Sharman is heading the inscription team in 2012. Jean has been a member of the club for 12 years and has worked as a volunteer on many inscription desks including all the Scarborough Light Parades, some Treffens and several Wing Dings.  Can you help Jean on Friday or Saturday by volunteering a little time to sit at the inscription desk? Jean says "We have lots of laughs doing this job and it gives you the chance to meet new members … it's good fun and you can choose a time that suits you".
