Goldwing Light Parade Scarborough September 11th 2010

The evening GoldWings light parade is the main attraction of the weekend with crowds of holidaymaker's and residents turning out to watch the parade.  The main gathering points for the crowds are at the Lifeboat Station in Foreshore Road and Sandside, with groups gathering along Marine Drive and Royal Albert Drive.

We hope that some members will wear fancy dress ... on any theme the wish ... for the evening light parade. The idea is to turn the parade a carnival with loud music playing from the bikes' sound systems, sirens and horns sounding and decorated bikes where possible. Of course all this depends on free luggage space available on the bikes as many of our members will be coming for the weekend.

Nevertheless the atmosphere will be electric and visitors will certainly be entertained. As the parade returns to Burniston Road Car Park, a handful of the best illuminated machines will double back from the roundabout at Sandside to assemble in front of the lifeboat station for ten to fifteen minutes for public viewing and photographs.
