The new logo design for the Scarborough Light Parade patch is now available to order on tee shirts and polo shirts from Sew Embroidery.  The patches, however, which form a major part of our sponsorship from Alan Mason of Sew Embroidery, will be on sale on the weekend of the event, so be sure you get yours early or order one in advance from the organisers.  Every penny of SLP patch sales goes directly to the RNLI Scarborough Lifeboats so Alan’s fantastic sponsorship of the Scarborough Light Parade since it began,  is likely to top £2,000.00 this year.

We have been given an extension to the deadline for discounted caravan bookings at the Cayton Bay Holiday Park.  The original discount scheme for “GoldWings” which ended on Tuesday 31st January has now been extended to June so that those who have been unable to secure their holiday dates by that deadline, and some of our self-employed members, now have until June to get the discounted rates.

Don’t forget, you only need a £50 deposit when booking over the telephone, which can be paid by debit or credit card.  The number to call is directly to the holiday park itself on
01723 583111 .... Please do not call any other number, otherwise you will be quoted the brochure price ... And remember to quote “GoldWings” to get your discounted rates.  Also take a look at our accommodation page.

The Scarborough Light Parade attracts some excellent sponsors with Alan Mason, of Sew Embroidery, Barnsley, continuing his support for the fifth year running by supplying 100 embroidered patches to be sold in aid of the RNLI Scarborough Lifeboats.  Cayton Bay Holiday Park have also pledged their support by once again offering a super raffle prize of a luxury caravan holiday weekend to be taken at the park in 2013.

This year we are delighted to announce a new supporter.  Management at the fabulous Redcliffe Hotel, Scarborough, have provided us with a fantastic raffle prize of a two night bed and breakfast weekend for two.  Hotel owners, Brian and Ann Bean are the perfect hosts and they are looking forward to meeting and greeting the lucky prizewinners.  The Redcliffe also supports the Scarborough Light Parade organising team by allowing meetings to be held in their luxurious lounge and by providing a well deserved coffee stop for our volunteers who deliver the event’s posters to various Scarborough establishments and holiday sites during August.

Carol Morgan, the event’s Sponsorship Manager said “I have contacted several more prospective new sponsors who seem to be really enthusiastic.  I’m thrilled to announce the news about The Redcliffe Hotel’s generous support and in the coming months I hope to confirm that all our previous sponsors will be supporting us again this year.  An updated list of 2012 sponsors will be published on this website shortly”
